ECOVADIS SUSTAINABILITY ASSESSMENT

Our sustainability work was assessed in 2025 through the international EcoVadis system, resulting in Ferrometal being awarded the EcoVadis Silver recognition. This places us among the top 15% of all evaluated companies.

EcoVadis is the world’s most widely used sustainability rating for companies, covering the environment, labour and human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement.

The Silver recognition demonstrates that Ferrometal’s long-term sustainability efforts are measurable and transparent, while also supporting our customers’ sustainability reporting and supply chain transparency.

THREE AREAS OF TRANSFORMATION TOWARDS A CIRCULAR ECONOMY

We see the transition to a circular economy as the foundation for sustainable growth, bringing benefits that everyone can enjoy economically, environmentally, and socially. We are shifting from a linear economy to a circular one, focusing on three areas of transformation: climate, material life cycles, and social standards.

CLIMATE

From a climate perspective, it is essential to avoid direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions that are harmful to the environment in the long term, including emissions generated along the supply chain. If emissions cannot be avoided, we aim to minimize them.

Our transition towards climate neutrality is measurable, as we calculate greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value and supply chain based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard.

MATERIAL LIFE CYCLES

The principles of the circular economy require efficient use of resources, minimization of waste, and the promotion of sustainable development. Data helps us understand and optimize material flows, while human expertise is key to creating innovations and new ways of working. By combining these elements, we can achieve a more sustainable and efficient economy.

SOSIAALISET STANDARDIT

SOCIAL STANDARDS

We have always aimed to create strong connections between people and between different perspectives. We believe in community and in the power of collaboration, which provides a solid foundation for growth in a safe environment. Our goal is to promote a fair and inclusive community culture, including the people and regions across our diverse supply chain.
